I am looking for a Project Manager to join my team. While it’s not a purely CM role, there are CM aspects to it (you’d be part of the team managing our Meta forum) and the product we build is Discourse. You’ll need to be pretty tech savvy (we’re a very technical team and part of the role is supporting customer implimentations) and inside out knowledge of Discourse is a hard requirement.

We’re looking for a Head of Community for

RareConnect™ is an online and multilingual social network for patients and families to connect with one another to support and share vital experiences on aspects of living with a rare disease as well as for rare disease advocates to connect and work together. The job is remote although the candidate has to live in Canada and willing to travel to Ottawa occasionally when the pandemic is over.

We’re looking for someone who will be responsible for creating, improving and maintaining content and the platform to help support families living with rare diseases. The duties will also include sharing content to raise awareness, supporting our volunteer moderators, and liaising with the RareConnect developers for platform development.
Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with demonstrable community management experience, willing to learn more about the rare disease (RD) community.

Essential experience:

  • Previous work experience in managing (health) online communities or performing community engagement is a must
  • Experience in community moderation, community policy, and community guidelines development
  • Understanding of key community metrics
  • Demonstrated success in growth key community metrics

RareConnect is a joint initiative of EURORDIS-Rare Diseases Europe and Care4Rare Canada, a consortium of hospitals, physicians and researchers across Canada. CHEO is one of the leading hospitals of this network. In 2018, the ownership of RareConnect was transferred from EURORDIS to CHEO so we could take the platform to a new level by creating RareConnect MyStudies, a paralel platform for researchers studying rare diseases. EURORDIS participates in the day-to-day management of the community and in the governance committee.

We’re looking for an Online Community Manager at NEAR. On the community side, we’re currently a team of 6, spread across multiple timezones working on various parts like the product, platform, funding, open governance and more. This role will focus mostly on Discourse and Discord. We’re a global remote team.

What we’re looking for:

  • At least 4+ years in online community building.
  • Experience working with Discourse and Discord(tools, plugins, analytics etc.)
  • A strong track record of ideating and executing strategy for online communities, specifically focussed on community growth, engagement and retention.
  • A clear passion for engaging with people.
