Our Totally Made Up Member Awards: November 2017

(Richard Millington) #1

Good morning everyone and welcome to December.

This means it’s time for our second edition of Our Totally Made Up (TMU) awards.

Remember our awards exclude myself and former staff members with weird accents.

Member of the month (most loved)

  1. @luisvilla <- second time in a row.
  2. @thirstforwine
  3. (tied between 6 people).

^ wins another $10 Amazon gift voucher…which he’ll hopefully not humblebrag about in the community this time

Most Loving

Who gave the most loves?

  1. @sprime & @Piper_Wilson (tied for first place)
  2. @lolmol

Most Contributions

Who are the precious mega-posters?

  1. @Piper_Wilson
  2. @ayanda
  3. @luisvilla

Most Visits

Which members couldn’t keep themselves away?

  1. @nawthor
  2. @thirstforwine
  3. @remah and @bartvb

Now we’re on to my favourite award, lurker of the month. Given to the member who reads the most posts without making a contribution. This is the award where we appreciate the people who take the time to read the community, it’s one of the most valuable behaviors a member can do.

  1. @jdelisle
  2. @nawthor
  3. @kha_nguyen_duc_anh

Thanks everyone for your contributions in the past month. It’s been a quieter month as I move into the final stages of getting the book done. After Christmas this community is going to see a lot more activity.

In the meantime, feel free to keep using it to get the collective wisdom of members here.

Just to increase the love, let me share a big heart here as well

(Osioke Itseuwa) #3

Yay! I get an award

(Richard Millington) #4

you earned it!

(Nick Emmett) #5

Nice idea - I’ve been pretty absent recently but just catching up on some great conversations. Nice work everyone!

(Luis Villa) #6

(looks sheepish over in the corner)

But I did get a few really good book recommendations out of it!

(James Hillstrand) #7

Congratulations to you guys!

(Robert McIntosh) #8

No awards for January?

(Richard Millington) #9

No, I might need to find someone else to do this. I’m a little short on time for it! Though I like the idea.

Would be great to simply have some SQL I can run for each of these.

(Robert McIntosh) #10

maybe @HAWK’s dashboard 2.0 will do the trick

(Richard Millington) #11

I hope so, though I don’t actually know anything about it

(Sarah Hawk) #12

Unless I’m missing something obvious, you have all that data right here:

(Richard Millington) #13

All the data is there, but it requires a little chopping here and there.

Not complicated, just a bit more time than I have.

(Sarah Hawk) #14

The queries are easy. Spec them on Meta if you want someone to write them.
