Import existing Wikipedia pages or have own wiki?

We want to have a lexicon of say 200 or so terms, concepts product types, techniques. Ideally I would commission and pay for writers to generate this content in the form of “definative” articles.

But 200 articles will take a while and might cost quite a lot. I know that SEO gold might be the return on such an investment.

To hit the ground running I was wondering if I should

A) use dbpedia or Wikipedia to get all 200 articles in one hit

Or

V) open up an own wiki for community members to populate.

Your experienced thoughts on this please.

If it wasn’t obvious the intention is to provide helpful, education information to our visitors.

What does this involve?

As long as you give credit and allow people to copy any modifications you make, this should be fine, lincense wise, it’s covered by CC-BY-SA https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/

Could be a really good way to kickstart the content.
I would allow your members to change the content, Wikipedia pages tend to be a bit long and you might need something more concise
