Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to those of you that celebrate it.
We don’t here in NZ, but I love the idea of it.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
We clearly don’t celebrate it here in India, but I get excited because Black Friday and Cyber Monday is when I get to make a shopping list for my sister who lives in Florida.

My partner is also a fan of Black Friday.
He warned me that some packages might start arriving from aliexpress.
They have been, to the tune of about 10 per day for the last week.

10 per day! Wow! That’s a lot of bubble wraps.

I hate to think of what that means for the environment. :frowning:

Well, that’s true. Here in India, Amazon screws up big time with packaging. They send HUUGGEE boxes filled with air packets for small products. So now I have super box to hold all the mini boxes. [BOXCEPTION!]
For the bubble wraps, newspapers and plastics, we have a guy in the neighborhood who comes to collect them. He sells them later to a recycling company. Super thankful that plastic bags are banned in Bangalore and people hertr are taking it really well(considering that they were used to getting plastic carry bags). Shops are also incentivising consumers to carry their own bags by giving small discounts.
