Good way to remove some users from the superuser program

In our community some users who have already been selected for super user program, are not active anymore. we want to message them and ask them kindly be active or lose their privileges otherwise.

does anyone have any experience in this criteria? is there anything we need to take care of? or perhaps any to-dos/not-to-dos before action?

You might be overthinking this

Personally, I’d send out a note thanking them for their amazing contributions so far and ask if they still want to be a part of the program or whether they’re happy for you to free up their slot for someone else.

good advice … and don’t forget to ask for feedback - just in case you can get any insight into why they stopped participating - though you are unlikely to get much, but maybe by asking you can keep them engaged

We were in a similar situation. We decided to re-build our superuser group and re-formulate the rules. Inactive people who were on the old group stayed there. Others and active people joined the new group. One of the main rules we have at the moment, each group member should stay active. So, now, everybody knows that if they stop participating in the community, they will be removed from the group.

It’s worth quickly reflecting upon the possible legal implications of demanding people do [x] amount of work to be in a program.

Not sure it crosses the line here, but just be careful.
