Dianne Kibbey, Global Head of Community and Social Media at Premier Farnell, joins us on the show!
About Our Guest
Dianne is the brains and driving force behind element14, the leading global community for electronic design engineers. Dianne led the development and introduction of element14 in 2011, which provides a global forum for engineers to collaborate, learn about new technology, solve problems and access leading products to complete their designs. The community has gone on to promote new innovation through global design challenges.
In 2012, element14 was the winner of the Forrester Groundswell award for supporting B2B customers and Jive’s Customer award for engaging customers.
Content is a critical piece of element14’s success, so Dianne and I talked at length about what works, what doesn’t work, and everything in between.
- “Featuring [community-generated] RoadTest Reviews results in higher conversions for products.”
- “Manual submission evaluations result in good relationships with members.”
- “A lot of this is trial and error!”
- “Don’t be afraid to approach an industry celebrity.”
